With over 25 years behind the camera lens, Chad Zellmer has turned his high school passion for photography and journalism into an extraordinary career. His journey began in the darkroom and evolved into a lifelong pursuit of visual storytelling. Known for his keen eye and collaborative spirit, Chad ensures every image tells a story.

As a professional Director of Photography, Camera Operator, FAA section 107 Drone Operator, and News Photojournalist, Chad has worked with countless clients across the U.S. and worldwide. His career has taken him to all 50 states and over 60 countries, earning him 7 Regional Emmy Awards for his outstanding contributions to the field.

When he’s not freelancing as a DP, Chad focuses on still photography, capturing everything from the beautiful mountains of Colorado, nationaly touring bands, commercial ads, sporting events, aerial photography, product photography, portrait photography and just about anything else he can point his camera at. His experience in a vast number of situations, his ability to capture natural moments with authenticity and his unique and artistic eye and perspective at photography are what truly set him apart, bringing a unique perspective to every shoot.

Chad's still photography has been featured in national and local publications online, billboard campaigns, commercial ads, sports publications, music publications, books, and much more. He uses industry-leading equipment, including Canon, Sony, Sachtler, Litepanels, Profoto, and DJI/Hasselblad gear. He is passport ready and ready to travel nationally or internationally for your next shoot.
